When giving CPR, if the initial breath does not make the chest rise what should you do?
- Check the casualty’s mouth and remove any visible obstruction
- Ensure that the airway is open

How is CPR performed on a casualty with a tracheostomy?
- Remove the cover from the trachea
- Wipe any mucus from the trachea or the tracheal tube
- Close the casualty’s nose and mouth
- Blow into the tube
When should a pocket mask be used?
Whenever one is available and rescue breaths are necessary
