Known as bite and hold. Training method of the dog locating the suspect and trained to bite upon locating that suspect.

Daily training required to maintain proficiency of the PSD.

A bite by a PSD to a handler, decoy, trainer, or any other participant/observer in a training environment.
What is a utilization of a PSD?

During a search, a bite occurs that is unwanted or unanticipated to a person that was the subject of the search

Foster communication and cooperation within the section.

To discuss recent UOF bites and non-UOF bites and offer feedback.

- Summon medical attention and provide aid
- Advise LT / WC / and risk management
- Document the bite in Blue Team as a Canine Incident
- List training bite in the officer role
- Follow up with trainers (how could it have been prevented)
