What does power do when energy is being transferred by forces?
The power is also rate of doing work
What is power measured in?
Watts
What does 1 watt = in joules?
1 joule of work done per second
If two birds lift a sea sized fish 2 metres in the air what have the done, work wise?
The same amount of work
If one of bird lifts a fish the same distance in a shorter time what has this bird done, power wise?
Produced a greater power
What is the equation to calculate power?
Power= work done / time taken
