What is the objective of MFDA
They are an organization that asses and handles complaints, investigate possible violation of its rules and policies, conduct disciplinary actions, and impose fines and suspends rights and privileges
What is Authorite des marches financiers
It is Quebec’s regulatory structure that ensures compliance with the regulatory requirement relating to the ability to distribute products and services
What is the Chambre de la securite financiere (CSF)
They manage all of Quebec’s educational licensing and continuing education requirement in Quebec
What is a Branch compliance officer (BCO)
Person in each branch or office that is responsible for compliance in behalf of MFDA
what is New Account Application Form (NAAF)
It is a form used to open account and used to record all information related to the KYC and other information in the client’s files. It must include Legal full name, Permanent address, mailing address, SIN and Date of birth
What is a Joint ternancy
It is a type of MF account that has no division of property which means one of the two account holder can do what they want without the other consent and if one of them dies then the other would have the full amount to them
What is tenants in common
It is a type of MF account which would be split 50%. Which means that one of the user can only have access to 50% of the funds and investment and if one of them dies then the other half will be decided by the will.
