General Description - AED is an automated external defribillator it shocks the heart if it stops beating
When to Use - don’t respond when shaken or not breathing normally
Pre-flight Check - present, secure, ready light blinking, accessories bag attached
Operation - Turn it on, follow the instructions

You shouldn’t
(4.4.3) For the Emergency Medical Kit give a general description, when to use, pre-flight checks and how to operate it
General Description - Medical supplies
When to Use - only medical professionals
Pre-flight Check - present, secure, sealed
Operation - Call for a medical professional, check their ID
(4.4.5) For the Fire Axe give a general description, when to use, pre-flight check
General Description - Handle is insulated to prevent shock
When to Use - gain access to fire areas, pierce a slide, survival
Pre-flight Check - FD check
(4.4.6) For the Halon 1211 give a general description, when to use, pre-flight checks and how to operate it
General Description - 3lbs of Halon 1211, discharge 8-12 seconds, range of 10 feet
When to Use - Class A,B, C fires

(4.4.6) For the Water Extinguisher give a general description, when to use, pre-flight checks and how to operate it
General Description - water and glycol, discharge 30-45 seconds, range of 20 feet
When to Use - Class A fire
Pre-flight Check -

3. pin and seal intact
4. nozzle free from obstruction
5. no sign of leakage or damage
6. correct quantity
Operation - turn handle to right, aim, spray
*Note glycol can corrode metal so clean metal surfaces after discharged
(4.4.8) For the Halotron give a general description, when to use, pre-flight checks and how to operate it
General Description - 5lbs of Halotron, discharge 9 seconds, range of 9-15 feet
When to Use - Class A,B, C fires

Operation - note to extend battery life unscrew the bottom to turn flashlight off

General Description - LED, floats, lasts 4 hours
When to Use - evacuation, in smoke hold at thigh, at night hold at eye level
