Rims
Not cracked or bent
Tires
Check inflation with gauge, sidewalls not cut, no bulges, tread depth (steers) 4/32 all others 2/32. Duals not touching. No debris stuck between duals. The dual wheels and tires should be evenly separated.
Lug nuts
None missing, not loose, rust trails may indicate loose lug nuts
Hub/Axle Seal
Proper oil level in sight glass, not leaking. Sealed hubs would have no loose or missing nuts, bolts or hardware. No leaks
Slack Adjuster
No loose or missing nuts, bolts or hardware. Not cracked or bent. Angle between slack adjuster and push rod not less than 90 degrees with brakes applied and not more than 1 inch of travel with brakes released
Chambers
No loose or missing nuts, bolts or hardware. Not dented or cracked. Not leaks
Hoses
No loose or missing nuts, bolts or hardware. Not cracked, worn or rubbing. Fittings are tight. No leaks
Drums and lining
Drums not cracked or bent, linings 1/4 in minimum thickness no oil or grease
Springs
Not cracked, bent or shifted
Spring mounts
No loose or missing nuts, bolts or hardware. Not cracked or bent.
U-Bolts
No loose or missing nuts, bolts or hardware. Not cracked or bent
Torque and Radius Arm
No loose or missing nuts, bolts or hardware. Not cracked or bent. Bushings not worn
Doors
Doors shut and latched
Mud Flaps
No loose or missing nuts, bolts or hardware. Not cut or torn. No more than 10 inches above ground
