It is a bad idea to load up to max weight during bad weather
How do you load your cargo properly
Don’t be top heavy , put the heaviest cargo under the lightest and distribute evenly
What can too much weight on the steering axle cause
Bad steering
What does weight loaded for a higher center of gravity cause
A rollover
What does too little weight on the axle cause
bad steering
WHat is blocking used for
in the front m back and or sides of a piece of cargo to keep it from sliding , `
how many tie down should you have
1 tie down for every feet of cargo and at least two no matter how small
what are front header boards for
Protect you from your cargo in case of a crash or emergency stop
why cover your cargo?
Protect people from spilled cargo and protect the cargo from weather
when are containerized loads used
containerized loads generally used when freight is carried part way by rail or ship
Can you check sealed loads
you cannot check sealed loads but you should check you don’t exceed gross weight and axle weights
What cargo require extra attention or mindfulness
dry bulk , hanging meat ,livestock , and oversized loads
