Q

When asked for the solution set of a polynomial and one of the zero’s is given how do you solve for the equation?

A

If one of the zero’s is given then you know one of the factors is x +1. You then divide using synthetic division from the factor to the polynomial. Once you solve the sythetic division you factor the solution.
