What is Plasma?
liquid part of the blood
What are Red Blood Cells?
take up oxygen in the lungs and deliver it cells elsewhere in the body
What is Hemoglobin?
iron-containing protein that binds chemically to oxygen molecules
What are White Blood Cells?
body’s disease fighters
What are Platelets?
cell fragments that play an important part in forming blood clots
What is the Lymphatic System?
network of vein like vessels that returns the fluid to the bloodstream
What is Lymph?
consists of water and dissolved materials such as glucose
What are Lymph Nodes?
trapping bacteria and other disease-causing microorganisms in the fluids
Consists of water & dissolved materials such as glucose. It also contains some white blood cells that left the capillaries.
What is Lymph.
