What are the 3 types of اِسم
(1) Primary ism - جَامد
(2) Root ism - مَصدر
(3) Derived ism - مُشتق
What is a primary (جَامد) ism
An ism which is not derived from another word nor is any word derived from it
Example
Horse- فَرسٌ
Girl - بِنتٌ
What is a root (مصدر) ism
An ism from which many words are derived
Example
To hit - ضَربٌ
To help - نَصرٌ
What is a derived (مُشتق) ism
An ism which is derived from a root (مصدر) ism
Example
Hitter - ضَارِبٌ
مَـنصُورٌ - One who is helped
Name the 4 types of fi’ls (فعل)
(1) Past tense - الماضِى
(2) Present & Future tense - المُضَارِع
(3) Command - الأمر
(4) Prohibition - النَّهي
Name the 2 types of particles (حرف)
(1) Causative particle - عامِل causes iraab change in the word after it
زيدٌ فِي المسجِدِ
(2) Non-causative - غَيرُ العامِل does not cause iraab change in the word after it

Name the 2 types of مُركَّب (compound, group of 2 words or more)
(1) Complete sentence - مُرَكَّبٌ تَامٌّ
(2) Incomplete sentences - مُرَكَّبٌ نَاقِصٌ
Name the 2 types of complete sentences (ٌّمُرَكَّبٌ تَام)
جُملة خبرِيَّة (1)
A sentence which has the possibility of being true or false
جُملَةٌ اِنشَاءِيَّة (2)
A sentence which does not have the possibility of being true or false
