Chock the wheels and take the keys out of the ignition

Underside of engine
Coolant, oil and power steering
Exhaust
Not bent, cracked or broken, no missing nuts bolts clamps or u bolts, no sign of of soot which would indicate a leak
Alternator
Belt driven
Not bent cracked, or broken
No missing nuts or bolts
Electrical wire
Not cut, cracked, dry rot, or frayed
Secured to the alternator
Belts (water pump and alternator)
Not cut, cracked, dry rot, frayed
Belt tension no more than 3/4” of play at center belt
Hoses ( engine)
Not cut, cracked, dry rot or bulging
See or hear no leaks
Water pump
Belt driven
Not bent, cracked or broken
No missing nuts or bolts
See no leaks
Coolant reservoir
Not bent cracked or broken
No missing nuts or bolts
Fluid is at the proper level
See no leaks
Oil
Check level
Level must be above refill mark
Power steering reservoir

Sits at a 90 degree angle
With the breaks off I should not be able to pull more than 1 inch

Proper pressure checked with pressure gauge
Not cut cracked or dry rot or bulging out of sidewalls

Valve cap and stem are not missing broken or damaged
Tread depth no less than 4/32”
Rim

Lug nuts and studs
No missing lug nuts or studs
See no signs or running rust which would indicate a loose lug nut
Hub oil seal
