The inability to secure peace led to the outbreak of World War Two in Europe in September of 1940 initiated by the German invasion of Poland.
The outbreak of the war in the Pacific occurred in December 1941 with the attack at Pearl Harbour by Japan.
Only after World War Two was peace successfully achieved with the creation of the United Nations on the 24th of October 1945 which was born out of the failure of the League of Nations.
