SDG 3 - Good health and wellbeing
This SDG aims to improve physical and mental health and well-being in all countries, by reducing morbidity and mortality due to common causes
SDG 3 key features 1
- Maternal and child health and wellbeing.
Maternal mortality is mainly caused by unsafe abortion, obstructed labour, hypertensive disease..
to prevent these, - access to skilled health care before, during and after child birth to save lives of both the women and the newborn babies.
- family planning
Child health can be improved by vaccinations, access to safe water and sanitation, mothers have access to this and that.
SDG 3 Key feature 2
communicable diseases - to end epidemics of such as HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB, Heps. To reduce them, education around the stigma associated with these diseases is required. Gender Equality - refer to sex trafficking, sexual violence and child marriage.
SDG 3 key feature 3
Non Communicable disease - reduce them by implementing taxes on alcohol and tobacco products, legislations on food labels. Also, mentioning road traffic accidents, depression, drug + alcohol misuse and air pollution.
