  • No sub-teams, titles, or hierachies
  • A cohesive unit of people focused on one objective at a time, the Product Goal
  • Cross-functional, i.e. all skills to provide value each sprint are in the team
  • Self-Managing, i.e. the team decides themself who does what, when and how
  • Small enough to be nimble, large enough to deliver significant work
    • typically 5 to 10 people
