What is the basic function of a Scrum Standup or Daily meeting?

A

Inspect progress towards sprint goals. Each member presents and updates their Row’s task to the appropriate columns on the Scrum Board. What was done yesterday? What they are planning on doing today? Any obstacles that have been encountered?
