Grégoire calls Jacinthe but it’s Mrs. Tremblay who responds because she’s taking a bath.
Grégoire téléphone à Jacinthe mais c’est madame Tremblay qui répond car elle prend son bain.
He is going to see a film this evening and he asks if she can come with him.
Il va voir un film ce soir et il demande si elle peut venir avec lui.
Jacinthe wants to go but she says that she has to go to the pharmacy because she doesn’t have stockings.
Jacinthe veut y aller mais elle dit qu’elle doit aller à la pharmacie parce qu’elle n’a pas de bas.
She leaves right away because she knows that the pharmacy closes at 8 o’clock.
Elle part tout de suite car elle sait que la pharmacie ferme à 8 heures.
She can leave after and Grégoire proposes to be at her place around 8:30.
Elle peut sortir après et Grégoire propose d’être chez elles vers huit heures trente.
Mister Dubois waits for the bus on the corner of the street.
Monsieur Dubois attend l’autobus au coin de la rue.
It is very cold.
Il fait très froid.
A different man arrives.
Un autre monsieur arrive.
It is mister Sutto.
C’est monsieur Sutto.
They talk and mister Dubois says that he has waited for ten minutes because the bus is late as usual.
Ils parlent et monsieur Dubois dit qu’il attend depuis 10 minutes parce que l’autobus est en retard comme d’habitude.
Finally it stops itself and the two men enter into the bus.
Finalement il s’arrête et deux hommes entrent dans l’autobus.
The driver asks for their tickets and they go to the back.
Le chauffeur demande leurs billets et ils partent en arrière.
They are lucky (have of the luck) because there are many people but they find two places close to the door.
Ils ont de la chance car il y a beaucoup de monde mais ils trouvent deux places près de la porte.
A pretty lady climbs on at the next stop.
Une jolie dame monte à l’arrêt suivant.
She has a baby and lots of packages in her arms.
Elle a un bébé et beaucoup de paquets dans les bras.
She encounters mister Sutto who asks if she wants to sit down but she responds that she can remain standing.
Elle rencontre monsieur Sutto qui demande si elle veut s’asseoir mais elle répond qu’elle peut rester debout.
He will take her packages and mister Dubois takes her child.
Il va prendre ses paquets et monsieur Dubois prend son enfant.
The Riouxs are planning a vacation.
Les Rioux font des projects de vacances.
They will go by car to Percé in Québec.
Ils vont aller en voiture à Percé au Québec.
Joseé wants to know how much time there is until they leave and he decides to leave in two weeks.
Joseé veut savoir dans combien de temps ils partent et il décide de partir dans deux semaines.
She says it’s necessary to make a reservation but he doesn’t agree because according to him there aren’t many tourists in September.
Elle dit qu’il faut réserver mais il n’est pas d’accord car selon lui il n’y a pas beaucoup de touristes en septembre.
But she likes to do it better.
Mais elle aime mieux le faire.
François proposes to call and get a room for them and a different room for their children.
François propose de téléphoner et il prend une chambre pour eux et une autre pour leurs enfants.
He prefers to go to the hotel Dupuis who are close to the sea but she asks why because she is familiar with the hotel Leduc and it is very comfortable.
Il préfère aller à l’hôtel Dupuis qui est près de la mer mais elle demande pourquoi car elle connaît l’hôtel Leduc et il est très confortable.
He responds that it doesn’t have a pool but in any case he doesn’t know how to swim.
Il répond qu’il n’a pas de piscine mais de toute façon il ne sait pas nager.
Finally he will call the manager and they will have to go to the hotel Leduc.
Finalement il va appeler le gérant et ils vont devoir aller à l’hôtel Leduc.
