Q

Tell me about yourself?

A

I’ve been a Manual SQA Engineer in the last 4 years for a SaaS company that pioneerd bringing second hand use products back into the market by providing websites and apps for partners like Patagonia and Lululemon.

I’ve used testing tools like Postman for API testing, Jira and Zephyr for bug and story tracking, BrowserStack and real iOS and Andriod devices for WEB and MOBILE testing, and SQL for DB testing.

I’ve lead QA projects that fostered cross-functional collaboration by refining requirements, pain points, testability as well as generating E2E test cases and documentation.

With my 7+ year background in QA, I really enjoy defect tracking and problem resolution.

Q

Can you explain your experience with automated testing?

A

I’ve done a bit of automated testing using Mocha. These were simple unit tests for example, the company had a list of Trove partners and non-Trove partners. I created an automated unit test for a function that called for a list of Trove partners. I designed the unit test so that if the partner list included any of the non-Trove partners, the test would fail.

Q

What do you enjoy the most and what do you dislike testing?

A

Like: I love being creative and finding different ways on how to test and break the application. I take it personal when I miss a test case because I strive to be great at what I do.

Dislike: Testing could be very repetitive at times, in those moments it’s critical to have an E2E test plan to refer back to so that little crucial functions do not get missed.
