  • Little anti-semitism. Many anti Jewish groups in England, but very rare in Glasgow.
  • Some trade unions opposed immigrants.
  • There were often churches who attempted to convert Jews to Christianity.
  • Attitudes towards Jews became more peaceful and welcoming, however most Jews still tended to stay isolated in Jewish communities.
