Geocentric V. Heliocentric Theory
People for a long time believed the geocentric theory, that the earth was the center of the universe and all the other planets rotate around earth, this was taught by the Catholic Church, until Nicolas Copernicus challenged the theory and created the heliocentric theory that the sun was the center of the solar system and all planets revolve around it, the Copernicus model was proven to be true, however the Catholic Church considered this heresy and was rejected.
Social Contract
was an agreement that the person would sacrifice their individual freedom in exchange for protection from the state.
Rococo
Rococo became a popular art and architecture style because it was light and happy and was affordable for the common person to display.

Believed natural state was war, people could not be trusted, wanted an absolute monarchy

“Life,Liberty,Property”, natural state, good person who sins, people have the right to overthrow the gov. if they think it doesn’t fit, gov. gets the right to rule from the people
