Scientific methods
a method of procedure that has characterized natural science since the 17th century,
Hypothesis
a supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation.
Controlled experiment
The definition of a control experiment is a test where the person conducting the test only changes one variable at a time in order to isolate the results.
Variable
not consistent or having a fixed pattern;
Control group
the group that does NOT receive the treatment in an experiment.
Experimental group
the group that DOES receive the treatment in an experiment.
