What is qualitative data?
Descriptions of a phenomenon that can include sights, smells, and sounds. This data is useful to record what happens but not how it happens.
What is a species?
A particular type of living things that can reproduce by interbreeding among themselves.
What is quantative data?
Characteristics that can be measured or controlled such as mass, volume, and tempeature.
What is an independent variable?
an experiment or condition that is manipulated or changed by a scientist.
What is a dependent variable?
variables that are measured during an expirerement. they are experimental data
What is the biosphere?
All living things and all the places they are found on earth.
What is biodiversity?
across the biosphere, the variety of life is called the biological diversity or biodoversity.
What is metabolism?
all of the chemical processes that build up or break down materials.
What is stimuli?
when organisms respond
What are the instructions for growth and development?
is when organisms are carried out by the same chemicles: DNA and RNA
What is evolution?
The change in organisms over time
