the series of events that led to modern science where people were questioning various aspects of their lives including their culture, art, purpose in the world, and they were also questioning the literal world itself.
Scientific Method
the step by step process to get an answer to something (like what we do in science class, it’s still really actually oftenly used)
Ptolemy
-a famous Greek thinker
-wrote about astronamy and geography
-thought that the earth was the center of the universe (he was wrong)
Nicolaus Copernicus
-scientific revolution was sparked by one of his books
-contradicted what Ptolemy said (haha)
Galileo Galilei
-Italian scientist
-proved Copernicus’ theory
-one of the first people to study the sky with a teloscope
Sir Isaac Newton
-known for his famous ‘laws’ of gravity and motion
-the guy who got hit in the head with an apple, although many say he just saw the apple fall
