what are voluntary muscles?
muscle whose action is normally controlled by an individual’s will; mainly skeletal muscle, composed of parallel bundles of striated, multinucleate fibers.
What are involuntary muscles?
The muscles whose functioning cannot be controlled
What are smooth muscles?
an involuntary, non-striated muscle.consists of thick and thin filaments that are not arranged into sarcomeres giving it a non-striated pattern
What are skeletal muscles?
They’re the muscles that connect to your bones and allow you to perform a wide range of movements and functions.
Cardiac Muscles
makes up the thick middle layer of the heart.
What are epidermis?
he outer layer of the two main layers of the skin
What are dermis?
The inner layer of the two main layers of the skin.
What are hypodermis?
the bottom layer of skin in your body
What are joints
Joints are where two bones meet.
What is Chemical Digestion
the process where complex molecules like proteins, fats, and carbohydrates are broken down into smaller pieces that your body can use.
What are enzymes?
a biological catalyst and is almost always a protein.
What is saliva?
a thick, colourless, opalescent fluid that is constantly present in the mouth of humans and other vertebrates.
What are movable joints
the joints that are capable of moving in a variety of directions
What are immovable joints?
the two or more bones are in close contact, but no movement can occur
What is bile?
a digestive fluid produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder
