Q

What happens during a volcano?

A

When one plate is forced under another one rises and forms a volcano and as the crust on plate moves under the other friction and the earths heat melts the rock which rises to the surface of a volcanic eruption

Q

Explain what physical weathering is?

A

When rocks break apart but it does change what they are made of and it may change their size and shape. Example would be wind and water.

Q

Explain what chemical weathering is

A

A changes a substance that makes up rocks and a harder material may become a softer material. Iron can iron oxide or rust.

Q

What causes erosion and how can it be stopped?

A

Flowing water and wind cause erosion. Plants, sandbags and wind breaks.

Q

Explain what deposition is. What occurs when a river enters an ocean? How are sand dunes formed?

A

Deposition is the dropping of materials moved by erosion. When a river enters the ocean the rate of flow slows and it drops soil and other materials in a spread out pattern. Dunes form as sand is slowly deposited by wind.

Q

Explain how the earth was formed during Creation and how the earth surface changed during and after the Flood. How is this different from what many scientists teach?

A

During Creation God spoke and the Earth was formed. During the flood the continents started to split apart and have continued to move today. This is why we have earthquakes and volcanos.
Most scientists teach that the earths plates have been drifting apart for millions of years and that the earth was formed without God.
