Reliability
If you can repeat your results and someone else can reproduce your result to get the same/similar values they are reliable
Validity
How useful your evidence is to actually answer the question
Independent variable
The variable you change to see what happens
Control variable
A variable that must be kept the same to prevent it affecting your results
Dependent variable
The variable you measure
Reproducability
If you get similar results when you try to reproduce your investigation under equivalent conditions it is ‘reproducible’
Precision
The ability to be exact/the closeness of readings between repeats
Uncertainty
The interval in which the true value can be expected to lie
