Ribosomes
Makes proteins and located bound to endoplasmic rectulum and in nuclear envolope as well floating freely in cytoplasm in both plant and animal cells
Cytoplasm
a jelly like fluid inside the cell in which organells are suspended and growth and expansion are carried out and their located between the nucleus and cell membrane found in both plant and animal
Endoplasmic reticulum. (ER)
a cell structure that forms a maze of passageways in which proteins and other materials are carried from one part of the cell to another located in both plant and animal cells
Rough ER
ER that is dotted with ribosomes
Smooth ER
that portion of the ER that is free of ribosomes
Cell Membrane
A cell structure that controls which substances can enter or leave the cell and is located on cell walls of cells and in both plant and animal cells
Golgi body
a system of emmbranes that modifies and packages proteins for export by the cell and is located right by the nucleus located in both plant and animal cells
Vesicles
small membrane sacs that specialize in moving products into, out of, and within a cell and is located in the cytoplasm and right next to the ER and nucleus located in both plant and animal cells
Lysosomes
an organelle containing digestive enzymes located within the cytoplasm and right next to the cell membrane only in animal cells
mitochondrion
cell organelle that converts the chemical energy stored in food into compounds that are more convenient for the cell to use and located in the cytoplasm in a liquid with tons of mitochondrion found in both plant and animal cells
vacuole
cell organelle that stores materials such as water, salts, proteins, and carbohydrates located in cytoplasm found in both plant and animal cells
cell wall
a rigid layer of nonliving material surrounds the cells of plants and some other organisms located in just plant cells
flagella
whiplike tails found in one celled organisms to aid in movement in only animal cells
