Science Chemistry Flashcards
Scientific Method
Observation, question, hypothesis, conduct to test hypothesis, analyse data, write conclusion.
Quantitative
Quantity(1150N, 500g)
Qualitative
Quality(shape, weight, smell, colour)
Independent Variable
Factor being changed
Dependent Variable
Factor being measured
Control Variable
Factors being same for all experiment
Scientific Report
Title, aim, hypothesis, materials/equipment, method(past tense), discussion(how your results addressed and hypothesis), conclusion(overall outcome).
Scientific Diagram Rules
No shading, only pencil, no measurements, no details.
Accuracy
How close to real value
Accuracy Formula
Difference between real and experimental value divided by the real value. For instance, (100 - 99)/100 1/100 which is 1 percent off, so accuracy is 99 percent.
Reliability
How similar each test each is to each other.
