series ==> only one path for electric current to flow through
parallel==> more than one path for electric current to flow through SO if one bulb in a path fuses , the bulb in the other path would still light up given the battery works .
A bulb installed at the start already will also have the same brightness even when another bulb is added in parallel to it because the bulbs are in their individual paths where electric current passes through
