Topics Q 1-5 Waves Q 6-12 the eye and lenses/rays
What is frequency?
Frequency is the rate at which something occurs over a certain amount of time.
What is amplitude?
The amplitude is the maximum extent of vibrations.
What are Hertz (Hz)?
(Hz) are the SI unit of frequency, equal to one cycle per second.
What is pitch?
Pitch is how high or low a sound is.
What is wavelength?
Wavelength is the distance between waves.
Name 3 parts of the eye.
Parts of the eye-
Iris, lens, pupil, cornea, ciliary muscle, sclera, retina, optic nerve and suspensory muscle.
What does the Retina do?
The Retina processes the light and contains rods and cones.
What part of the eye contracts allowing the lens to go fat, bending the light?
The Ciliary muscle
What part of the eye sends signals to the brain?
The Optic nerve
Does a concave lens focus inwards or outwards?
Outwards
True of False: All images ar inverted by the time they reach the back of the eye.
True- images are inverted before they reach the back of the eye.
If you are long sited do you need a concave or convex lens to correct it?
Convex
