What does the brain do?
Controls the entire body, our thoughts, emotions, language, heartbeat, everything.
What does the heart do?
Pumps blood through the body every time it beats.
What do the lungs do?
Breathe in air
What do the muscles do?
Allow us to move.
How do the ears hear?
Sound waves vibrate the eardrum, and the little bones, and it sends a message to the brain, which tells us what we are hearing.
What does the stomach do?
Mushes up food.
What do the intestines do?
Remove nutrients from food and pass it into the blood stream.
How do the eyes see?
Light goes in through the pupil, and hits special cells in the retina, then the signal goes to the brain, and the brain says what you are seeing.
What are tastebuds?
Bumps on your tongue that let you taste food.
What do your bones do?
Keep you from being squishy.
How does the nose smell?
How do we feel touch?
Nerves send signals to the brain.
What are blood vessels? What do they do?
Little tubes in your body that hold blood so the blood can go all around the body.
