Q

Convection

A

Transfer of heat through the movement of a fluid (due to differences in density- warmer fluids rise/ cooler fluids sink)

Q

Reasons for temperature differences around the world:

A
  1. Angle of Insolation (influenced by season/ latitude/ time of day)
  2. Hours of sunlight
  3. Specific heat (amount of energy required to heat up a substance / water = slower)
  4. Albedo (Dark buildings)
  5. Altitude (higher u go up = colder)
  6. Moving air masses (cold = Canada, warm= mexico)
