Q

weight

A

Weight is the measurement of force of gravity on an object. Weight will change depending on force of gravity (on moon, in space). Mass will not change.

Q

Two rows below table

A

Rare earth metals. They are actually part of the transition metals in the middle of the periodic table. However, if they are included in the table, the table would be too long. So, they are placed below the table to shorten the table.

Q

Ways to separate mixtures

A

Evaporation: letting mixture sit and let water leave as a gas, leaving behind solids and other liquids
Filtration: using a filter to separate a solid from a liquid or smaller molecules from larger molecules
Magnetic attraction: using a magnet to remove iron compounds from the mixture
Distillation: boiling one liquid off as another liquid remains behind
Physical/by hand: picking apart or pouring apart mixtures
