SCID: Lectures 16, 19 & 21 Flashcards

1
Q

How has systematic review of studies found better reliability for mood disorder diagnoses?

A

Studies where there was a joint interview with agreed operationalisation of diagnosis - better reliability for MDD diagnosis

Note this was poor in DSM-V field trials - possibly because no semi-structured interview just shared criteria, also a new diagnosis (persistent depressive disorder)
