How has systematic review of studies found better reliability for mood disorder diagnoses?
Studies where there was a joint interview with agreed operationalisation of diagnosis - better reliability for MDD diagnosis
Note this was poor in DSM-V field trials - possibly because no semi-structured interview just shared criteria, also a new diagnosis (persistent depressive disorder)
What do 1, 2 and 3 mean respectively on the SCID?
1 - means the item is not present
2 - borderline however not meeting threshold for the item
3 - means it fulfils the full crieria
How did Karl Jasper’s define a true delusion?
A true delusion cannot be explained on the person’s mood
