1. Neither desires nor enjoys close relationships
2. Almost always chooses solitary activities
3. Little interest in sex
4. Takes pleasure in few activities
5. Lacks close friends other than first degree relatives
6. Appears indifferent to praise or criticism of others
7. Shows emotional coldness, detachment, flattened affect
   iii. Does not occur exclusively during course of schizophrenia, bipolar, dispersive with psychotic features, psychotic or autistic spectrum disorder
   iv. If criteria met before onset of schizophrenia: premorbid schizoid
