Schedule of reinforcement Flashcards
Continuous reinforcement (CRF)
Reinforcement is provided for each occurrence of behavior (typically used to learn new behavior)
Intermittent reinforcement (INT)
Reinforcement is provided for some occurrence of behavior (typically used to maintain established behavior)
Fixed Ratio (FR)
Reinforce at a set number of responses
Fixed Interval (FI)
Reinforce a response after a set amount of time
Concurrent Schedule
Two or more basic schedules for two or mor behaviors at the same time (Matching law / choice)
Multiple Schedule
2 or more basic schedules of reinforcement are presented alternating, in a random sequence for 1 or more behaviors (has SD signaling schedule)
Variable Ratio (VR)
Reinforce a varying number of responses
Variable Interval (VI)
Reinforce a response after a varying amount of time
Mixed Schedule
2 or more basic schedules of reinforcement are presented in an alternating, random sequence for 1 or more behaviors (no SD signaling schedule)
Chained Schedule
2 or more basic schedule of reinforcement are presented and occur successively and in order (SD present)
Tandem Schedule
2 or more basic schedule of reinforcement are presented and occur successively ( No SD; trial by error)
Alternative Schedule
A compound schedule combining the number of responses and time (second chance schedule; either /or )
Conjunctive Schedule
A compound schedule combining the number of responses and time (both/and )
