Step 1 - one patient. Approach normally
Step 2 - two patients approach with caution and do they have similar symptoms?
Step 3 - remove to a safe place and request specialist support

If they’re not alert, and don’t respond to voice, attempt a pain stimuli - tripezius squeeze
What is the name of the pain pressure point we squeeze when checking to see if a patient is responsive?

Airway - what is the main thing you check for in the airway
If the airway is patient and self maintained
Airway - if the airway is not self maintained and potent what do we do?
1 - inspect the airway with the scissor method
2 - if there’s something in the airway, we can rotate the patient and use our fingers to clear degrees (vomit)
3 - if it’s clear, we do the head tilt, chin lift to open the airway
4 - if you cannot move the head (spinal injury) use the jaw thrust method.
Breathing - what is the normal respiratory rate in adults (breaths)
12-20 per min
Breathing - if the respiratory rate is below 12 what do we call this?
Bradypnea
If the respiratory rate is above 20 what is this called
Tachypnoea
Circulation - what is the average BPM in adults?
60-100 BPM
Circulation - what is the name of the pulse on the wrist
Radial
