Ay me!
Romeo- she speaks. Oh speak again right Angel!
O Romeo, romeo , wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name.
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love,
And I’ll no longer be a capulet.
Romeo - shall I hear more, or speak at this?
‘Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, not a montague.
O, be some other name.
What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
by any other word would smell as sweet.
So Romeo would, were he Ron Romeo called
Romeo doff thy name,
And for that name, which is no part or thee,
Take all myself
Romeo - with love’s light wings did I o’erperch these walls?
If any of my kingsmen find thee here they will murder thee
Romeo - I have nights cloak to hide me from their eyes,
And but thou love me, let them find me here.
My life were better ended by their hate
Than death prorogued , wanting of thy love
Don’t thou love me? O gently Romeo,
If tho don’t love, pronounce it faithfully
Romeo- lady by yonder blessed moon I vow
O swear not by the moon,
Romeo- what shall I swear by?
Do not swear at all. Or if thou wilt-
Nurse - (calling from within) Madam!
Anon good nurse!
Three words good Romeo , and goodnight indeed.
If that thy bent of love be honourable,
Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow,
And all my fortunes at thy foot I’ll lay,
And follow thee my lord throughout the world.
Nurse -Madam !
By and by, I come!
Tomorrow will I send
Romeo - so thrive my soul
A thousand times good night
