Scene 7 Flashcards
FRENCH NARRATOR: Let us now follow Sandy as she takes refuge in Jellyfish Fields, one of ze great wonders of ze undersea world.
I reckon I’ll miss this place most of all…
SPONGEBOB: We’ve been looking for you everywhere! We have a volcano to beat - and we need you on the team.
This town doesn’t want my help— they want me gone.
SPONGEBOB: You can’t leave.
Let’s face it, I’ve never fit in here. then again, I never really fit in in Texas either. I was always the odd rodent out. No one knew what to make of a squirrel-girl who was into science and martial arts. I’ve never felt at home anywhere, really. And now it’s time to dig up my acorns again and push on.
SPONGEBOB: ‘CAUSE THERE ISN’T A CATASTROPHE
Uh, hello?
SPONGEBOB: SANDY JUST TRY IT AND SEE! COME ON!
Try what?
SPONGEBOB: COURAGE IS YOUR CLAIM TO FAME WHEN HERO IS YOUR MIDDLE NAME.
That’s nice boys, but mines Jennifer. And no one believes my science is real.
SPONGEBOB: Sandy! We need you. Patrick can help climb the volcano, but you have to handle the stopping-it-from-erupting part. Because we have no clue how and time is running out really, really fast. But no pressure.
Pressure! Yes! I think i have an idea! Figure 1: Diagram of a volcanic eruption caused by rapid pressure buildup in the magma chamber. Figure 2: If this pressure is released no eruption will occur. Figure 3: I design an explosive device with a timer to drop inside the volcano. Figure 4: With the timer set to detonate at the precise moment of eruption. Figure 5: Unleash a deluge of bubbles that will release the pressure and prevent the blast!
PATRICK: You lost me at one.
Point is, this could work!
SPONGEBOB: So, you’ll help us?
Boys, I’m still gonna push on from this town o’ yours, but you’re my friends. so first I say we give this idea a shot.
