Scene 2 Flashcards
Save it for the race, boys.
What’s going on over here?
Nothing for you to worry about, Tom.
Looks like you kids are having a disagreement.
We’re about to drag race.
Is that so?
Fastest one around the stoplight and back wins.
What are you racing for?
Pink slips.
I see.
You don’t approve.
I didn’t say that.
I tried to talk them out of it, but they weren’t having it.
Are the vehicles road ready?
And mine’s brand new - finally saved up enough money to get her last week.
All right. You’ve scouted the course?
We know this road like the back of our hands.
Very well. Then I guess you’re ready to race.
Any other last words of wisdom, Tom?
Only this - when racing around the circle of life, make sure not only to seek the rewards that can be found in taking a risk, but also the rewards that can be found in taking your time.
It could get ugly.
Oh, I’m not going anywhere.
Go!
And they’re off!
You didn’t even finish.
Are you really going to race again after what just happened?
