Dorothy starts 2 doze off
“Psst! Dorothy wake up!” blah blah blah
“Ugh, what even is civic duty again?”
“Don’t you remember our lesson from yesterday? Civic duty is-“ blah blah blah “DOROTHY!”
I start 2 doze off “Huh?! Ugh, I can’t help but doze off! Learning about our government doesn’t maaaatterrr….we’re just in middle sckewl & can’t vote until we’re 18 anyway.”
“So you don’t care about learning about of government, Dorothy?”
“Why should I? I’ll care more about it when I’m an adult. I’ve got like, six more years until then.”
“Okay, I see what you two are saying. — How about we hear from…DOROTHY! Why don’t you share your thoughts on why it is important 2 b a good citizen.”
I jolt awake and catch the Talking Dragon. “Uh..Well..I don’t really know…? I mean, I js don’t agree with the question, like, I don’t think it really matters whether or not we’re good citizens. Isn’t that the job of the president and stuff…?”
“Well let’s talk more. What do the rest of us think? Should we even CARE about being a good citizen?”
“Whatever..” GO BACK 2 SLEEP “I can’t do anything for our government because I’m too young..”

“He-hello? Where did everyone go? What’s going on? WHERE AM I?!”

slow turn. “AHHHHH?!” falls “WHO ARE YOU?!”
“I’m the Talking Dragon lil nga”
“I DIDN’T KNOW YOU ACTUALLY TALKED?!”
“blah blah blah… stuff about listening”
“Hmm…listening…maybe that’ll keep me awake more during discussions..”
“blah blah blah.. talking abt snoring… shall we explore outside?”
