- Take the third and sixth notes of the major scale down a semitone
How do you find a major chord?
For major chords, count 4 semitones up from the starting one, and then 3 semitones up from the second
How do you find a minor chord?
For major chords, count 3 semitones up from the starting one, and then 4 semitones up from the second
