What the unit rule for scale.?
A
You must use the same units on each side of the scale e.g 1cm is 2m would be 1:200 200cm in 2m

How do you work out scale?
A
You measure the length or width of the object then times it with the second number of the scale e.g 1:30 and the length is 8.9 in real life it would be 267. 8.9 x 30=267
