Wash them with soap and water…spot cleaning is NOT acceptable!

What is the process of cleaning a makeup pencil?
Spray with 70% alcohol, sharpen pencil, spray again with 70% alcohol.
Should you be wearing heavy perfume while doing makeup?
No (duh!). Smell clean and be conscious of your surroundings.
What is the first thing you should ask clients before putting anything on them?
Do you have any allergies?
What is the first thing you must do when setting up your station?
Wipe down any surface you will be touching and organize your space properly.
True or false: You should still attend your set even if you are sick.
FALSE (duh!)…Even though you are signed up to be on set, you cannot show up if you are sick. You are very close to the client, and you do not want to be responsible for getting the whole crew sick. INSTEAD, communicate with the director & help find a replacement for the shoot.
Overall, what do we want?
For everyone on the directory to have a CLEAR understanding of the proper sanitation practices required every time you show up to the set. The directory is meant to give directors, photographers, etc., the best MUAs who will show up to set with good attitudes, proper equipment, and proper knowledge of how to keep everyone safe.
