- Check the temperature of the fridge - the fridge should be between 1-4°C, if it is not, food will go off much quicker
- Use your fridge wisely - some foods keep better outside the fridge
- Love your list - make a shopping list and stick to it when you go shopping
- Water your veg - Keep the stems of vegetables in water to stay fresh and crisp
- Freeze your 5-a-day - if you have fresh fruit and veg you can’t use in time, freeze them
- Measure your portions - reduce waste by cooking only the amount you need
- Sauces and dips - lots of leftovers can be made into sauces or dips
- Freeze dairy products - semi-skimmed and skimmed milk freeze better than whole
- Revive past-it bread - you can make stale bread into breadcrumbs
