2
Q

Name and explain the phases of Haemostasis

A
  1. Vascular phase: vasoconstriction to limit amount of blood loss
  2. Formation of platelet plug via platelet activation
  3. Intrinsic and extrinsic coagulation pathway. both end with liquid blood turning into a solid via conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin
  4. Anticlotting mechanism are activated to remove the clot and allow healing of the blood vessel
