Fever, aversion to cold, headache, sore throat, slight sweating, runny nose with yellow discharge, swollen tonsils, body aches, slight thirst, red tongue in the front and sides with thin white coating, floating rapid pulse
Upper Jiao- Wind Heat in the Lung’s Wei Qi
Fever, sweating, cough, breathlessness, thirst, a feeling of oppression and pain in the chest, red tongue with yellow coating, rapid-overflowing pulse
Upper Jiao- Heat in the Lung’s (Qi level)
High fever at night, a burning sensation in the epigastrium, cold limbs, delirium, aphasia, deep red and stiff tongue without coating, fine-rapid pulse
Upper Jiao- Heat in the Pericardium (Nutritive Qi level)
High fever that is worse in the afternoon, aversion to heat, and no aversion to cold, feeling of heat, intense thirst, profuse sweating, constipation, red tongue with yellow coating, overflowing-rapid pulse (4 Bigs)
Middle Jiao- Heat in the Bright Yang (YangMing)
Fever, epigastric fullness, a feeling of heaviness of the body and head, nausea, vomiting, sweating with no resolution of heat, sloppy loose stools, red tongue with sticky yellow coating, soggy rapid pulse
Middle Jiao- Damp Heat in the Spleen
Fever in the afternoon and evening, five palm heat, dry mouth and throat, night sweating, deafness, lassitude, deep red tongue without coating, Floating-rapid pulse
Lower Jiao- Heat in the Kidneys
High fever at night, coma, convulsions, clenched teeth, deep red tongue without coating, wiry-fine-rapid pulse
Lower Jiao- Liver Heat stirs Wind
Low grade fever, cold limbs, dry and black teeth, dry and cracked lips, convulsions, tremor of limbs, deep red tongue without coating, deep-fine-rapid pulse
Lower Jiao- Liver Empty Wind
Dribbling urine, frequent and urgent urination, difficult urination, dark yellow or turbid urine, blood in the urine, thirst without desire to drink, possible constipation, thick yellow tongue coating, soggy or slippery rapid pulse
Lower Jiao- Damp Heat in the Lower Jiao
