8
Q

Uplink Aided Inertial Guidance Scheme

A

Ground system includes digital uplink to INS equipped missile. Ground system tracks target and sends target location to missile via datalink. Missile calculates its own location using INS and calculates course corrections to intercept target. Used for midcourse guidance only

9
Q

Seeker Aided Ground Guided/Track via Missile Guidance Scheme

A

Forms of guidance that combine aspects of command and semi active guidance schemes
SAGG: Ground system illuminates target and missile receives reflected energy from target. Missile does not generate own guidance commands, instead transmits raw date to ground sys IOT generate uplink guidance commands

Q

Passive

A

Missile detects and homes in on the natural target emissions such as IR signature or emitted RF waves (all IR manpads are passive)
