What are the most important skills and qualities needed to be a project manager?
-In depth understanding of the project lifecycle
-Exceptional people skills (build relationships, inspire, etc)
-Exceptional communicator
-Good listener
-Need to foresee potential problems down the line and make plans for them
-Be consistent.
-Conflict resolution
-Flexibility
How do you handle with under performance in a team?
-Take action quickly
-Speak to the individual to understand why they aren’t performing to the right standard.
-Put a plan of action in place to make sure they get back up to speed, might be the case they don’t have the right training or tools needed to complete the task.
What are you strengths and weaknesses?
-Freestyle (talk about experience and what it has given you thus far)
-Responsibility, communication, see issues before they happen
-Trouble asking someone for help could be a weakness.
-Open to learning and improving
How do you handle conflict in a team?
Letting team know I am aware of the problem. Will step in and analyze the problem if they cannot handle it. Confident person who will handle conflict

PM is PM, fundamentals are the same, leadership skills are what matters.

Allow subject matter expects to take the lead, and I give framework that everything is done within time, scope, and budget.

Micro/Macro Manager leader? Hands on or hands off? Let them know you have led people

Share knowledge on change management, past work, working with things not going well.
