A

 interphone,
 PA
 attendant call (6 chimes)
    •Nature and cause of emer 
    •time available for prep
    •necessary special instructions, synchronize 
      Watches

  2. (Emergency preparation speech) Pax briefing at demo station

Steps for PREPARATION

A
  1. SRI- select, reseat, instruct A-pax by all main CA’s
  2. CABIN PREPARATION
    • CA2/all steward galley preparations
    • CA3/ LH side CA’s- INFANT/CHLD
    • CA4/RH side CA’s- less agile passengers
  3. CC PERSONAL PREP
    • remove sharp/ loose objects from clothes
    • loosen tight clothing
    • prepare provides in a blanket and stow
    Near exits.
    • Have flashlights ready
  4. Final cabin check - report CABIN CREW

A-PAX main duties: General instruction

A
  1. Wait for the a/c to come to a full stop, and wait for command EVACUATE A/C before proceeding with assigned duties
  2. If exit is •blocked/jammed
    • fails to deploy or inflate
    • outside condition unsafe
    =BLOCKED and REDIRECT
  3. If safe: • open seatbelt
    • stand up
    • hold back passengers
    • exit first and assist evacuation
    • gather everyone away from aircraft
  4. Be ready to assume an incapacitated CA’s emergency duties.

  4. PULL MANUAL INFLATION HANDLE
  5. Direct evacuation towards exits.
