  • give specific information and details of the situation
  • to facilitate coordination and avoid misunderstanding, crew roles must be identified; communicator, coordinator, doer
  • to avert imminent emergencies, unusual sounds, vibrations, odors, sudden rise and drop of temperature must be reported to the captain

Post evacuation duties

A
  • lead passengers away from the aircraft because of the risk of explosion and fire.
  • gather passengers and crew together. ( after an accident, people often start to drift away in a shocked condition)
  • ensure slideraft detached ( water landing)
  • conduct a headcount
  • care for the injured
  • activate ELT ( if applicable)
  • retrieve survival kit (A330)
  • install canopy (water landing)
